To remove traditional wallpaper, start by scoring the surface of the wallpaper with a wallpaper scorer to allow water or steam to penetrate the adhesive. Next, saturate the wallpaper with a wallpaper removal solution or use a wallpaper steamer to loosen the adhesive. Once the wallpaper is fully saturated, gently scrape it off the wall using a putty knife or wallpaper scraper. Finally, wash the wall with a solution of warm water and dish soap to remove any remaining adhesive residue.
