What is the difference between vinyl and non-vinyl wallpaper?

Vinyl wallpaper consists of a paper or fabric backing with a layer of vinyl on top, while paper wallpaper, also known as non-vinyl wallpaper, features a layer of paper on top of a paper or fabric backing. Although non-vinyl wallpaper is generally thinner and more fragile than vinyl wallpaper, it is easier to remove.
